From the recording Into The Shimmering

Find my way Home - Open D. Written on a snowy winter night in Vancouver, BC in 1996. It affirms the faith of a lost and wandering soul in finding its way out of the darkness and back into the light. Almost 20 years after I wrote the song I found my way home to Salt Spring Island on the west coast of Canada, where I currently live.

FIND MY WAY HOME
Open D tuning
Music & lyrics
M. Grittani

Times like these I feel so confused
Times like these I see only black, sometimes blue
Sometimes I can find my way out
But sometimes I find myself a long way down
Sometimes I feel myself out on the edge
And I just want to find my way home

Raindrops fall, rivers run
Stars shine in the heavens up above
And as sure as they do, my time will come
When I will find my way home

In the still of the night, sometimes it all comes clear
Then a new day dawns and I wonder all over again
What am I doin’ here
The truth is so close I can almost taste it
Though it’s sure to be bittersweet
I’ve just got to keep myself out of the darkness
Got to keep myself on my feet
’Til I can find my way home

Raindrops fall, rivers run
Stars shine in the heavens up above
And as sure as they do, my time will come
When I will find, I will find, I know I will find
My way home
